Retired Carpenter and Weed Commissioner to
Be Buried Saturday
William Dube,
He was a native of
Germany and was born
Surviving are three
daughters, Miss Lillian Dube, at home, Mrs. Hattie
Schilling and Mrs. Hugo C. Block, and one son, Edward Dube,
all of Watertown. There are six grandchildren.
Mr. Dube was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.
He was a carpenter
by trade and after retiring from that work had served for 11 years as city weed
commissioner. He was a member of the Moravian
church and of the Plattdeutscher Verein and the
Carpenters’ union.
Mr. Dube was a man who had many friends in the city. He was a faithful and trusted worker and was
devoted to his home and his family.
The funeral will be
held Saturday at
The casket will not
be opened at the church, but friends may call at the funeral home to pay their
respects Friday afternoon and evening, starting at
