Rose Meyer nee Kuester

Mrs. Rose Meyer, North Water Street, widow of Frank Meyer, died at her home. She had been in failing health the past year and had been confined to her bed for the past three weeks.

Before her marriage to Mr. Meyer, she was Miss Rose Kuester, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kuester. She was born in Watertown Dec. 1, 1875. Her entire life was spent in Watertown and she was well known in the community, being active in church circles of the Wesley Methodist congregation

Mr. Meyer preceded her in death in 1928. He had been a well known meat market operator here, his business being located in North Second Street (212 N Second, meat market - retail).

Surviving are one daughter and three sons, Mrs. Lillian Nienow and Percy and Lloyd Meyer, Watertown, and Ralph Meyer, Waukesha. A daughter and a son passed away in infancy. There are six grandchildren. There are two brothers, Walter Kuester, Racine, and Harry Kuester, Watertown.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of Wesley Methodist church and of the Women's Society of Christian Service and she was also a member of the official board. The funeral will take place Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Schmutzler funeral home, with services at 2 p.m. in Wesley church, the Rev. H. L. Woehl officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
