Gerrie Pederson

1921 - 2006

Gerrie Pederson, 85, of Watertown, Dodge County, died on November 26, 2006, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at River Valley Alliance Church with the Rev. Don Gephart and the Rev. Philip Schrank officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.

Friends may call to pay their respects at the Pederson Funeral Home in Watertown on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials are suggested to River Valley Alliance Church in Watertown.

The former Gerrie Stoltz was born Feb. 8, 1921, in St. Paul, Minn., daughter of James and Pearl (Landphair) Stoltz. She married Delwyn D. Pederson on Sept. 27, 1941, in St. Paul. She and her husband owned Pederson Funeral Home in Watertown from 1951 to 1978.

Gerrie taught cake decorating at Madison Area Technical College in Watertown from 1969 to 1983. She was a member of River Valley Alliance Church in Watertown and had been very active in various church groups. She was also active in the community, having been a member of many civic organizations.

Survivors include three children, J. Douglas (Lida) Pederson of Waukesha, David W. Pederson of Watertown and Leigh (Jeff) Otto of Naperville, Ill.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in- law, Joyce (Dick) Dickenson of Northridge, Calif., and Beverly Pederson of Middleton; three nieces and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Dec. 14, 1982; and a sister, Carol.
