He was born
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church and served on the church council, farmed in the town of Watertown, and
was supervisor of the township for 20 years. He was a milk hauler for 32 years,
clerk of High Lawn School, chairman of the Agricultural Stabilization
Conservation Committee, served on the Farmers Home Administration Board, and was
chairman and director of the Ixonia State Bank for 30 years until his
retirement in January of 1983. He also served as president of Ixonia Mutual
Insurance Board until 1985.
Survivors include four daughters,
Mrs. Erwin (Shirley) Tester Beloit, Mrs. Ted (Janet) DeGarmo, Kokomo, Ind,,
Mrs. John (Joyce) Koser and Mrs. Phillip(Sharon) Krueger, both of Watertown;
nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy)
Draeger, Watertown, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two
brothers, Melvin and Charles.
